Expressing Gratitude in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

January 22, 2019

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we want to express our gratitude for our community and client partners.

In a time of deep polarization, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. built bridges and loved others who disagreed with him, while still taking a stand for nonviolence and racial justice. With the constant polarization in our nation today, his message is a great reminder to hope for something different and to speak out.

Dr. King stood for nonviolent protest, social change, racial justice, and service to others – values that our clients embody and work towards every day. He also stood for values based leadership and fierce activism, making clear the connections between racism, prejudice, and poverty. At CRE we strive to emulate the legacy of Dr. King, in particular knowing that courageous leadership and inclusive movement-building are two of the keys to social change.

Our clients and their communities are part of a strong movement that is shaped by Dr. King’s vision for a more fair and just society. We are honored to partner with and support these inspiring organizations working on the frontlines of social and economic justice every day.

In honor of Dr. King and all he stood for, we express deep gratitude to our clients and let you know that we stand with you as we work together to drive social change.

With support and appreciation,

Katie and the CRE team
