Community Resource Exchange’s Update on COVID-19

March 13, 2020

Dear friends and partners,

Nonprofits across the country are working to navigate the path forward amid the growing health crisis of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). With each new update, concern for the health of our communities, staff, and families becomes increasingly paramount. At CRE, we have experienced an uptick in requests for guidance on how to manage the fallout from potential cancellation of programs, training, and services, while supporting our teams – and the communities we serve – to stay healthy and well.

CRE remains, now more than ever, committed to our mission of partnering with organizations to provide accessible and practical solutions to everyday challenges, as well as new challenges presented by the current situation. We are similarly committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of our team as we support our clients and partners through this trying time.

Starting today, our offices will be closed and our full team is operating virtually so that we can best support our nonprofit community, both with our current projects and to help address new needs as they arise. We know there is much to be done to support each of our clients, our partners, and the larger sector – and we are honored to be part of that work today and in the weeks ahead.

Through this, we stand side by side with our partners in stating that CRE condemns the use of COVID-19 as a tool of racism and xenophobia and firmly believes that we are at our strongest when we are working together for our clients and communities.

We are committed to continuing to support all of us to be at our strongest as we manage through the current uncertainty. If you have questions concerning any upcoming CRE activities, please contact your consultant to determine alternative accommodations for consulting work, scheduled events, or training.

We hope that you and your loved ones remain safe during these uncertain times.

Katie Leonberger,
President and CEO of Community Resource Exchange
