Meet HeeJae. HeeJae is the 2022-2023 Capacity Building Fellow with the Korean American Community Foundation.
Before CRE. Prior to this fellowship, HeeJae was managing the HR department of a small psychological counseling center in Seoul, Korea. He graduated from Tufts University with a M.A. in Clinical Developmental Health and Psychology, as well as a B.A. in Child Study and Human Development. Following graduation, he accepted a Fulbright grant to teach English in South Korea where he taught in a public middle school in the countryside.
Learn some more. HeeJae is a 1.5 generation Korean immigrant and this experience informs the work that he hopes to do working with Asian American and Asian immigrant families. HeeJae is currently obsessed with volleyball and surfing.
