This year, we are proud to award $49,000 in pro bono consulting services!

The CRE Rising Fund supports small and mighty nonprofit organizations that are working to improve the lives of the diverse people and communities of New York City. Through the CRE Rising Fund, our team of expert consultants partner with small nonprofits to complete no-cost, three-month long strategic planning engagements. This year, we are honored to partner with three nonprofits to strengthen their organizations and deepen their impact on their communities:

East New York Community Land Trust (ENYCLT)  aims to protect, stabilize and expand the stock of affordable homes, locally-owned small businesses and green spaces in East New York and Brownsville for the benefit of low- to moderate-income, Black and brown residents. The CLT exerts control over the built, social and natural environment through community organizing, education, and property ownership.

“We are so excited to be CRE Rising Fund 2022 Awardee! Over the last two years, we have laid the groundwork by doing grassroots organizing to establish ourselves as truly democratically controlled by resident volunteers. This opportunity will help take our organization to the next level by supporting us in strategic and business planning so we develop a sustainable internal infrastructure.” –Boris Santos (he/him), Treasurer on the ENYCLT Board of Directors

Not On My Watch, Inc. combats human trafficking and domestic violence through education and training, community and policy advocacy, providing resources and housing for victims and survivors, and shelter for the homeless.

“Not On My Watch’s team is eagerly looking forward to collaborating with CRE! We know through this grant, CRE will guide NOMW strategically allowing our vision to become a reality.” –Pamela Damon (she/her), Executive Director

Staten Island Not for Profit Association, Inc. provides resources, support, and advocacy for the borough’s nonprofit leaders and organizations to help strengthen our sector and meet the needs of our communities.

“The Staten Island Not for Profit Association (SINFPA) is honored to be selected in CRE’s Rising Fund. The support of CRE will further aid our new Executive Director in identifying appropriate next steps and supplemental resources to carry the work forward in providing resources, support, and advocacy for the borough’s nonprofit leaders and organizations to help strengthen our sector and meet the needs of our communities.” –Tatiana Arguello (she/her), Executive Director
